First Day of School Tuesday, September 8, 2020

SHS Students will attend virtually on Tuesday, Sept. 8 and Wednesday, Sept. 9

SHS A Day Student's first in-person day will be Thursday, Sept. 10

SHS B Day Student's first in-person day will be Friday, Sept. 11

How do I login for my first day of virtual learning?

WCPS is using Canvas for grades 6-12. Students go to and login with their school google credentials.

When should I login on my virtual days?

Students should login at the beginning of each period, just as if they were attending in person. If a student is unable to attend a class due to internet access, there will be a video that the student can watch later that evening. 

Here is our schedule:

8:30 - 9:00      Arrive at SHS, grab-n-go breakfast (if needed), report immeidately to first period
9:00 - 9:50      First Period
9:55 - 10:45    Second Period
10:50 - 12:15  Third Period (Including lunch)
12:20 - 1:10    Fourth Period
1:15 - 2:05      Fifth Period
2:10 - 3:05      Sixth Period

Graduation Pictures

The graduation ceremony portraits for Class of 2020 are now online!  Feel free to have your graduates text HAWKSGRAD20 to 90738 or visit to view the photo gallery.  
For the FREE Family photo at the HAWK TUNNEL, you will receive an email directly from Victor O'Neill (to the email you provided on your graduation ticket).  This will be a digital photo or link to download.  Expect this over the next week.

I hope that your experience with Skyline High School is positive, whether you are teaching, learning, or parenting. Our vested interest in student achievement provides the common thread that is woven through our relationships and interactions. It is important to the process of student learning that these relationships are both positive and fulfilling. 


I believe that significant learning does not occur without a significant relationship. Caring about student performance and achievement is as critical to teaching as providing the appropriate curriculum. Without caring, learning can become a labor void of direction and purpose; and it is the direction and purpose that all students value in their own education. It is the responsibility of the teacher and school to provide this caring environment to all students.
